Xóchitl Cecilia González Piña's Biography
Written by: Xiadani Velazco González
Xóchitl Cecilia Gonzalez Piña (my mother) was born in
1964 in Tenango del Valle a small town that gradually turned into a city.
She
was the first daughter of a teaching couple. However, a few years later, two
more siblings joined the family.
She lived in a house on the cerro of the village, but it was too far from the centre, so she moved when she was 15 years old.
She
started to study high school in 1975 in the first school of the place because
her father was the director.
Xóchitl
decided to study business administration, but after two years she changed her
career and studied to become a teacher.
She
got her first job when she was 22 years old in Tenancingo, then she learnt
psychopedagogy in the ENSEM.
Immediately she was married to Carlos Enrique Velazco
Torres (my father) and they had two daughters.
13 years later she got divorced and kept her two daughters. Although she now has a friendly relationship with her ex-husband.
She
currently has 33 years of teaching service but plans to retire in 3 years.
